Why talk about biodiversity in an economic context?
Because biodiversity and the economy are inextricably linked.
Failure to take nature into account in economic decisions can entail a number of risks, both now and in the future. This is true for all sizes and sectors of business, as well as for society as a whole. Governments, businesses and consumers all have the power to act.
Our Executive Director, David Roy, had the opportunity to discuss this with Marjorie April during her Economy column this morning on CBC/Radio-Canada.
